THE SPOTLIGHT IS ON ...
Sharing and Caring

Sammy and Katie Tracanna make time for the kids after a freestyle demo last summer in Cape Cod. What better time of the year to celebrate the smiles and joy our dogs and our sport bring to young and old alike?

January Online Workshop: Herbs and Canine Health

We're starting off 2010 with a workshop on herbs and canine health led by Linda M. Lyon, Ph.D. Linda is an Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences with the University of Montana Western in Dillon, MT. An educator of ethnobotany (how cultures use plants) and botany, she holds memberships with the American Botanical Council and board positions with the Society of Economic Botany and the Montana Native Plant Society. Linda's interest in using plants as medicine overlaps with her interest in dog training. Through her experiences as a dog trainer and owner of Happy Hounds Dog Training she has found that herbs are incredibly helpful for many canine illnesses when used appropriately. Through this January workshop Linda will introduce to you several herbs that can be helpful for canines and how to use them correctly. The MDSA monthly online workshops will be provided for MDSA members only. If you are interested in becoming a new MDSA member please download and complete this application. The, join in the fun and become a member of the MDSA Online Workshop Discussion List.
