MDSA Discussion List
Join the MDSA Discussion List
The
MDSA Discussion list is where those interested in the Musical Dog Sport Association's vision of canine freestyle can discuss the sport with other freestylers. In its definition of freestyle, the dog is the focus of MDSA freestyle performances. This is portrayed in a choreographed routine through the creative use of movement, music, and training. This can be accomplished with beauty, elegance, athleticism, or humor and it should always be done in a way that is respectful to the dog, the audience and to the sport itself.
MDSA Online Workshops
Join the MDSA Online Workshop Note: Please be sure to provide your full name when apply to join the workshop list so we can verify your membership status.
The
MDSA Online Workshop list is where visiting instructors provide instruction and guidance to MDSA members in a private venue. Each session lasts approximately a month and will cover a selected topic. Participants can ask the instructor questions and hold discussions. Topics cover many, many aspects of canine musical freestyle such as training, choreography, music and more. Have an online workshop topic idea? MDSA would love to hear from you. Please
contact us to share your idea.
Note: As of December 31, 2009, the MDSA monthly online workshops will be provided for MDSA members only. In addition, Carolyn Scott and the Executive Board will present the "Magic of the Match," twice a year. In the Magic of the Match workshop, members have the opportunity to receive music options matched to your dog's movement. So, that's 12 workshops - two of which are special musical matching workshops - all for the price of your annual membership. The workshop schedule will be posted on the MDSA Web site as it develops. Please note that as of January 1, 2010 the Board will begin removing non-MDSA members from the online workshop list, so if you wish to keep participating in the discussion and learning, please remember to renew or become a new member by downloading and completing this application.
